CLAYTON MARSHALL DIES IN HOSPITAL

Clayton Marshall of Arlington died Tuesday afternoon in an Omaha hospital where he had been for the past week in a serious condition. He was taken ill a week ago Saturday, and when peritonitis developed he was rushed to the hospital Wednesday and an emergency operation was performed. Several other operations were resorted to, but to no avail.

Mr. Marshall was born October 9, 1905, and after graduating from the Arlington high school, he spent practically all his time on the farm, assisting his father.

Besides his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Marshall, he is survived by two brothers, Leslie of South Pasadena, Calif., and Howard of this place; three sisters, Mrs. Lawrence Echtenkamp, Mrs. Julie Neurerenberg and Mrs. George Marshall, all of this place.

Funeral services for Marshall, 27, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Marshall, who died in an Omaha hospital Tuesday, were held from the Congregational church here on Thursday afternoon with Rev. Van Vaulkenbeigh in charge. Out of town relatives were Messrs. and Mesdames H. W. Marshall, Maurice Marshall, Ed Boker, Mrs. Dorothy Wright, Mrs. Wm. Sloan of Geneva and Ed Nonnamaker all of Omaha, Mrs. Chelsea Whitford of Blair, Mr. and Mrs. Eli Marshall of Lincoln, C. C. Marshall and daughter, Miss Leta Marshall of Fremont, Mr. and Mrs. Neuerenberg, son and three daughters of Wakefield.
