SERVICES FOR HERMAN LADY

Funeral services were held Wednesday morning, March 30, for Mrs. Lizzie Ackerman of Herman at the Catholic church in Blair. The deceased was fifty five years old, and had resided, since her marriage, on her farm three miles west of Herman. Her husband preceded her in death many years ago.

She is survived by six children: three sons, Clarence of Elkhorn, Nebr., George of Herman and Floyd at home, and three daughters: Alma, Lucille and Leona at home. She also leaves three sisters: Mrs. Ludwig Jensen of Blair, Miss Anna Fuess of Herman and Mrs. Geo. Wachter of Pender. There are also two half brothers: Clarence Wachter of near Herman and Walter Wachter of Rosalie, Nebraska.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lizzie Ackerman, who passed away Monday, March 28 at her home four miles west of here, were held at the St. Francis Catholic Church at Blair Wednesday morning at 10:30. Rev. Geo. Jonaitis officiating, and burial was made in the Blair cemetery. Deceased was born at Macoutah, Ill., Nov. 9, 1876. She came, with her parents, to Nebraska when twelve years of age, and has since resided here. She was married to John Ackerman Dec. 5, 1893. He died nineteen years ago. She is survived by three sons, Clarence of Elkhorn, Nebr., George and Floyd of Herman and three daughters, Alma, Lucille and Leona all of Herman. Three sisters, Mrs. Tillie Jensen of Blair, Mrs. Laura Wachter of Pender, Nebr. and Miss Anna Fuess of Herman, two half brothers, Clarence Wachter of Herman and Walter Wachter of Rosalie. Other relatives and a host of friends.

HERMAN RESIDENET IS BURIED WEDNESDAY…RITES FOR MRS. LIZZIE ACKERMAN HELD FROM CATHOLIC CHURCH

Mrs. Lizzie Ackerman died at her home west of Herman Monday March 28, after an illness of several weeks following an attack of influenza. Funeral services were held at the St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. They were conducted by Rev. George F. Jonaitis pastor of the church. Interment was at Holy Cross Sepulcher cemetery at Blair.

Elizabeth Amelia Fuess was born at Macoutch, Illinois, November 9, 1876. At the age of 12 years she came with her parents to Nebraska and made her home in this state until the time of her death. She was married to John Ackerman December 5, 1893, by Father Barrett at St. Joseph church in Blair. To this union six children were born. Mr. Ackerman died 19 years ago.

Mrs. Ackerman leaves to mourn her departure her children: Clarence of Elkhorn, Alma, Floyd, George, Lucille and Leona, all of Herman; three sisters, Mrs. Tillie Jensen of Blair, Mrs. Laura Wachter of Pender and Miss Anna Fuess of Herman; two half brothers, Clarence Wachter of Herman and Walter Wachter of Rosalie; an uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Christ of Blair and other relatives and a host of friends. She attended a convent in Illinois at an early age and at the time of her death was a member of St. Francis Borgia church at Blair.
