YOUNG MOTHER DIES

Funeral services were held last Thursday afternoon for Mrs. Chris Kuhlmann of the New England neighborhood, whose death occurred March 22 after a short illness. She was past thirty five years of age. Burial was made in the Bell Creek cemetery.

Mary Mengedeht was born July 2, 1896 near Arlington. She was married Nov. 29, 1917 to Chris Kuhlmann, who with six children, survive. She leaves also her mother, Mrs. Sadie Mengedoht of Arlington; four sisters, Mrs. Bert Lallman of Arlington, Mrs. Ben Engbern of Uehling, Mrs. C. Sherman of Nickerson and Mrs. Ellen Sprick of New England. She is survived by three brothers: Henry of New England, Roy and Arthur of Arlington.

MRS. CHRIS KUHLMAN DIES EARLY TUESDAY…IS SURVIVED BY HUSBAND AND SIX CHILDREN

Mrs. Chris Kuhlman passed away at her home seven miles west of Herman early Tuesday morning following a short illness. A baby born Friday morning passed away that day. As Mary Mengedoht, Mrs. Kuhlman was born July 2, 1896 at Fontanelle. She attended the public schools and on November 29, 1917, she was married to Chris Kuhlman. The couple moved to a farm near Herman where they have since made their home. Seven children were born to this union, six of whom together with the husband survive her.

Surviving her are the bereaved husband, five daughters, a son; her mother, Mrs. Sadie Mengedoht of Fontanelle; three brothers, Henry Mengedoht of Herman, and Arthur and Roy of Fontanelle; and four sisters, Mrs. Albert Lallman of Arlington, Mrs. Irvin Sprick of Herman, Mrs. Kermit Schurman of Nickerson and Mrs. Fred Egbers of Uehling.

Funeral services are being conducted from the Bell Creek Lutheran church this (Thrusday) afternoon at 1:30 o’clock.
