PASSING OF FORMER BLAIR WOMAN

D. Z. Mummert of this city received a telegram the first of the week announcing the death of Mrs. H. Ollerman on Monday, Feb. 29, at her home in San Antonio, Texas. According to the telegram funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, March 1, at San Antonio, with burial in the San Jose cemetery.

The Ollerman family, who lived in Blair for many years, moved to San Antonio, Texas in 1927. They have many old friends and neighbors here who regret to learn of their loss, and who would gladly extend sympathy and words of comfort to them.

The deceased, who was Harriet Sarah Woodruff, was born June 1, 1857, at Hartford, Conn. She came of a good old New England family. Her father was a partner in the famous Woodruff Iron Works which manufactured a boiler used on one of the ships in the Revolutionary War.

At the age of eighteen years, following the death of her father, she came west to David City, Neb. accompanied by her mother, sister and brother. Here she met and married Herman Oilerman in 1880. Later they came to Blair where their four children were born and reared to manhood and womanhood.

In 1927 the family moved to San Antonio, Texas in the hopes of benefitting Mrs. Ollerman’s health.

She was a devoted wife and mother and leaves to mourn her passing her husband, two sons, Parker and Frederick, two daughters, Agnes and Mrs. Hermine Kubie, all living in San Antonio with the exception of Mrs. Kubie, who resides in Blair. There are also four grandchildren.

The Enterprise joins a host of Blair and Washington county friends who extend sympathy to the bereaved family.

As Harriet Woodruff, the deceased was born June 1, 1857, at Hartford, Connecticut. When she was sixteen years of age her father died and two years later the mother and two children came west, locating at David City, Nebraska. In 1880 the deceased was married to Herman Ollerman at David City and a short time later they removed to Blair where they lived until about four years ago. Four children were born to them at Blair; Parker, Agnes, Hermine and Frederick. The Ollerman family lived in Blair for many years where the husband was engaged in the jewelry business. In 1927 they moved to Texas in hopes of benefitting Mrs. Ollerman's health, as she had been suffering from heart trouble for some time.
