Mrs. Mary Trueblood was born Nov. 13, 1846 in Philadelphia, Penn. In 1846 she came with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arlington to Omaha. They lived in localities in the eastern parts of the state until her husband passed away in 1905 near Walthill, Neb. She then came to Tekamah, and with her sister, Mrs. Blackstone, kept house there until Aug. 1927 when she and her sister went to live with Mrs. Balckstone’s daughter, Mrs. Major Scott, till they came to Crowell Home where they lived together until Mrs. Trueblood died Saturday Morning, Jan. 2nd, 1932. The funeral services were held at the home Tuesday, Jan. 4th, Rev. Jackson officiating. Mrs. Will Poucher of Tekamah rendered two song selections accompanied by Mrs. Gaines. Mrs. Trueblood enjoyed an unassuming disposition. Her religious experience was real. She is greatly missed by her sister, relatives and many friends.
