IRVIN PETERSON

Irvin Petersen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Peterson of west of Orum, passed away at the home of his parents last Friday evening following an illness of over four months’ duration.

At his death the deceased was 18 years, 9 months and 21 days old. He was a young man of sterling qualities and the grief-stricken parents have the sympathy of a large circle of friends in their bereavement.

The funeral services attended by a host of friends was held at the Brown Creek church last Sunday afternoon, and interment was made in the Orum cemetery.

Besides the parents, he leaves two elder brothers and a younger sister.

The Enterprise extends sympathy to the bereaved relatives.

LAST RITES FOR YOUNG MAN HELD AT ORUM SUNDAY AFTERNOON

Funeral services for Irvin Marvin Peterson, aged 18, were held Sunday afternoon at one o’clock at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Peterson, at two o’clock at St. Paul’s Lutheran church at Orum, with Rev. G.W. Wolter officiating. The youth had succumbed late Friday evening to an illness from which he had suffered since last June.

The young man was born January 14, 1915, near Orum. At the age of 14 he was confirmed at the Danish Lutheran Church of Orum.

Surviving him besides his parents are two brothers, Roy, a student at Seward, and Gifford, at home; and one sister, Irene, also at home.

An octet sang several beautiful selections at the home service, and the full choir served at the church. Interment was made in the Orum cemetery.
