26 Oct., 1933 - The Enterprise GILFRY SERVICES ARE HELD AT ARLINGTON

Funeral services for H. H. Gilfry were held from the Arlington Methodist church Thursday afternoon, Oct. 21 and were conducted by Rev. Ralph P. Rasmussen and Rev. Adrian J. Edgar of Syracuse.

Henry Harold Gilfry was born on January 1, 1864 at McComb, Ill. In 1883 he moved to Nebraska and had resided here since then. On August 22, 1892 he was married to Mary Catherine Rhea, and to this union were born two sons, Ralph A., and Harold Rhea, the former preceding his father in death on June 16, 1931.

The chancel was banked with the many floral tributes and a quartet composed of Mrs. Otto Renard, Mrs. Dora Ludwig, J. G. Wallingford and Allen Laaker sang “The Old Rugged Cross”, “The City Four Square”, and “Some Day We’ll Understand”. The pallbearers were W. F. Gilfry, J. T. Gilfry, Wilford Gilfry, Don Rhea, J. P. Rhea and Harry Osterman.

Besides the wife, the survivors are two brothers, J. F. Gilfry and W. F. Gilfry of Snyder, Colo; one sister, Mrs. Mary Unland of Hemet, Calif; one son, Harold Rhea Gilfry of Omaha, and three grandchildren, Marjorie Ann, Willard Rhea and Ann Gilfry.

Out-of-town relatives who attended the funeral rites were J. T. Gilfry, W. F. Gilfry, Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Gilfry and Mrs. Russell Woodward, all of Snyder, Colo; Mrs. Ruth Gilfry, daughter Ann; Mrs. D. R. Martin of Austin, Minn; Mrs. Charles Hickey and Miss Besse Rhea of New York; Miss Blanche Rhea and Miss Vivian Rhea of Omaha; Mark Rhea of Lincoln; Mrs. and Mrs. Harold Rhea Gilfry, son Willard and Daughter, Marjorie Ann of Omaha.
