Word was received here early Friday afternoon of the death of Mrs. Clifford Moddox of Phoenix, Arizona. Mrs. Moddox was a former Arlington girl and will be remembered as Miss Vera McVey before her marriage. After the death of her mother, Mrs. D. W. McVey, when a child of seven years, she made her home with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Miller, now deceased. She grew to womanhood here, and in 1913 moved with her grandparents to Phoenix. For the past three years she has been suffering incurable ailment and much of that time was spent in hospitals in Arizona and California. No word was received as to the funeral arrangements. Besides her husband, she is survived by her father, D. W. McVey of New York.
