MRS. M. JOHNSON

Mrs. Magnus Johnson, nee Anna Anderson of this city, passed away in the Covenant hospital in Omaha on last Sunday, May 21, 1933 where she had been taken some time back for medical attention and treatment.

Deceased as born in Sweden Jan. 21, 1865 and was 68 years of age at the time of her death. When a girl of 16 years she came to this country and in January, 1887 she was married to Magnus Johnson, well known and prosperous farmer, and to this union five children are still living, all born and reared on a farm about six miles southwest of Blair in the Brewster school district.

Twenty years ago the husband, who passed away two years ago, gave up farming and purchased a home on South street where the family still reside. Both Mr. and Mrs. Johnson were people held in the highest esteem by all who knew them, and in her passing she leaves a host of old friends who will grieve very deeply.

She was a member of the Danish Lutheran church and the funeral ceremonies are to be held in the church of her faith this Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock, and interment will be made in the Blair cemetery.

The children who survive are Mrs. Nellie Payne, Miss Ida Johnson, Mrs. Robert Foley and Lawrence Johnson all of Blair and Miss Emma C. Johnson of Washington, D.C.
