RECEIVES SAD NEWS

Mrs. George Rohwer, Jr. of Ft. Calhoun recently received the sad news of the serious illness of her father, J. D. Ream of Broken Bow, Nebraska. He was taken to a hospital at Grand Island where Mrs. Rohwer hastened to his bedside and was with him several days before he passed away on Wednesday of last week.

The father was a man of prominence in his community, and had enjoyed the honor of serving his county as state representative. He was also awarded the credit of being named as a master farmer.

The funeral services were held Sunday at his home at Broken Bow and both Mr. and Mrs. Rohwer were in attendance.

A peculiar incident occurred while Mrs. Rohwer was in the hospital at Grand Island, called there by the illness of her father, a baby girl was born to her.
