MRS. CHAS. L. SMITH

Mary Victoria Sager was born in Danforth, Johnson County, Ia. June 22, 1861, and died May 11, 1933 at the family home nine miles north of Blair.

She grew to womanhood near the place of her birth, and was married to George H. Wilson at Dennison, Ia. Dec. 25, 1882. With her family she came to Blair in 1890.

There were seven children born into this home. Three children died in infancy and a son, Harry L. died in 1923. Mr. Wilson died and was buried at Blair in 1912.

She was married to Chas. L. Smith of Utica, N.Y. April 17, 1926, and lived there for two years. Then, after a short time in Dunlap, Iowa, the home was moved to Blair where they lived first in town and then north of town where she died. She leaves her husband, two daughters, Mr. C. A. King of Blair and Mrs. Clarence Davis of Omaha, one son, Clyde, present address unknown, 16 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Wm. Wilson of Dunlap, Ia., a brother, Joseph Sager of Nanton, Alberta, Canada and a number of nieces and nephews. She was baptized in the Methodist church some thirty years ago. She was a fine mother, a helpful wife and a much loved neighbor. Services were conducted by Rev. W. H. Jackson at the Bendorf Parlors Monday afternoon at 2:00. Interment was made in the Blair cemetery.
