Alonso Morse Ellis Ward

Alonso Morse Ellis Ward was born in Tabor, Iowa September 9th, 1856. He departed this life April 13, 1933. He was united in marriage to Miss Mary Elizabeth Linderman in 1879. To this union were born six children, four sons and two daughters: Charles F., Lewis S. of Hinsdale, Montana, William M., Albert R. of Blair, Nebraska; Mrs. Hattie Newman, Mapleton, Iowa and Mrs. Milly Barrett, Geddes, South Dakota.

These, with his wife, are left to mourn his departure. There are also twenty one grandchildren and ten great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends who will miss him.

Mr. Ward gave his life to the Master when about twenty one years old and united with the United Brethren church. He was a kind and loving husband and father, and was loved by all who knew him, both young and old.

The funeral service was held at the First Baptist church of Blair, Nebr. Sunday afternoon, April 16, 1933, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Thomas J. Reese. Interment was made at the Bertha Cemetery.
