ANDERS "ANDREW" CHRISTIANSEN

Andrew Christiansen, age 70 yrs., 4 months and 18 days, passed away Sunday, February 19 at the Blair hospital from heart failure.

Deceased was born in Moen, Denmark Oct. 6, 1862, and came to America in 1876, settling near Spiker, northwest of Blair. He was married Nov. 23, 1883 to Miss Nickolena Hansen, and to this union fourteen children were born, six of whom preceded their father in death.

Besides the wife, eight children survive him as follows: Mrs. Chris Nelson of Omaha; Mrs. R. M. Banks of Vancouver, Washington; Mrs. Paul Esser of Wentworth, S. Dak; Mrs. Alfred Hansen of Wayne, Nebr; Mrs. James Rasmussen of Tekamah, Nebr; Mrs. William Jensen of Blair; Mrs. George Sheets of Herman and Mrs. James Paulsen of Blair and one brother, J. P. Andersen of Blair and one sister, Mrs. Margaret Petersen of Spiker. Thirty four grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive him.

The funeral services were held at the First Lutheran church in this city on Tuesday afternoon with Rev. James N. Lund officiating, and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.
