JESSE OSBORNE CALLED

Jesse Osborne of this city was called by death after a brief illness on Monday, January 9th. Deceased was born in Virginia Oct. 26, 1855, and grew to manhood in the state of his nativity. In 1876 he was married to Caroline Sherwood, and to this union ten children were born, five of whom survive.

He came to Blair thirty two years ago, and has since made this his home. His first wife passed away, and he married Mrs. Rose Aker, and to this union a son was born. After the death of the second wife, he was married to Mrs. Elizabeth Osborne who passed away two years ago.

He was a member of the Christian church in Blair for the last 20 years.

He had been making his home with his son, Tom, in Blair, and was taken last Sunday to a hospital in Omaha where he died Monday morning.

He leaves to mourn six children: Will, Albert, Mrs. Jennie Barlow, Joseph, Tom and Mrs. Lester Axtell. There are eleven grandchildren. A host of friends join with the family in their sorrow.

The funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Methodist church with the pastor, W. H. Jackson, in charge, and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.
