HEMMING JACOBSEN

Hemming Jacobsen, who is a former resident of this county, passed away in Omaha on Wednesday, Dec. 21, 1932. Deceased was born in Denmark April 17, 1859, and came to America when 19 years of age.

He was married to Caroline Haines of near Spiker June 12, 1884 and to this union two children were born, Mrs. Edgar Clausen of Blair and Mrs. Amanda Healy of Omaha. His wife passed away three years ago.

For a time he conducted the Vacoma store and also farmed, and later moved to Blair where he resided until about nine years ago when he moved to Omaha where he made his home.

He leaves, besides the two children, one brother, Lars Jacobsen of Huron, South Dakota and two sisters, Mrs. L. P. Skov of Blair and the other in Denmark.

Funeral services were held at his home in Omaha with Rev. John Poucher officiating, and interment was made in the Forest Lawn Cemetery.
