EMIL STENDER - DEAD AT AGE 64

Kennard Man Died Late Yesterday At Omaha Veterans Hospital

A long illness proved fatal yesterday to Emil Adolph Stender, 64, lifetime Kennard man. Mr. Stender died early in the afternoon at Veterans Hospital in Omaha where he had been a patient since last August.

The body of Mr. Stender is now at the Bendorf Funeral Home, but services have not yet been arranged.

Mr. Stender was born near Kennard Dec. 15, 1890, and farmed in the area until moving into town some seven years ago.

He is survived by his wife, Christina, one son, Alton Stender of Blair; and one granddaughter, Carol Stender, 4. Other survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Henry Petersen (Dora) of Bedford, Ia, Mrs. Fred Wolf (Annie) of Blair, Mrs. Gus Auch (Sophia) of Bennington and Mrs. Ben Bergman (Charlotte) of Washington.
