METHODIST RITES ON TUESDAY FOR JULIUS HOLSTEIN

Funeral services for Julius W. Holstein were held at 2 o’clock Tuesday from the Methodist church with the Rev. W. Albert F. Traver officiating. Interment was in the Tracy cemetery.

Mr. Holstein died Sunday at the age of 85. Cause of death was from complications resulting from a hip fracture.

Julius W Holstein was born on July 26, 1877 at Herman, Nebr., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Holstein. He was married to Adelia Rahlfs on Dec. 10, 1905 at Blair, Nebr. They farmed near Blair until March of 1914 when they moved to a farm near Tracy.

Mr. Holstein is survived by the following sons and daughters: Clarence, Frank, Arthur, Kenneth, Ruben, Mrs. Donald E. Daniels, Mrs. Wray Newkirk and Mrs. Gerald Armitage.

His wife preceded him in death in 1961. One son, Gilbert, was killed in an automobile accident in 1935.

Mr. Holstein is also survived by four brothers and three sisters, 15 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were: Andrew Farber, H.D. Hewitt, Earl Lynch, Wm. Kassel, Albert Lau and Wm. Lord. Kelley funeral home as in charge of arrangements.
