Don Fees, Early Blairite, Is Dead

Don Clare Fees, Blair man of 40 years ago, was buried in San Bernardino, California, on February 4th. News of his death reached Blair this week. He was the son of Dr. and Mrs. A. W. Fees, who was an early day physician here. The Fees family lived in a stone house located at 17th and Lincoln Street where the Safeway Store now stands.

Mr. Fees was born in Lennox, Iowa, but grew up in Blair. 42 years ago he joined the Department of Justice, later serving in the Treasury Department in Washington, D. C. He retired from that work 12 years ago and moved to Hemet, California.

He is survived by his wife, Roberta C. Fees, a step-son, Clifford R. Crusan, three grandsons and two sisters, Mrs. Melvin E. Green, of Gordon, Nebraska, and Mrs. Velma Fairchild of Minden, Nebraska.
