MRS. HERMAN WESTOVER DIES IN CALIFORNIA

Word was received Thursday, Nov. 14, by relatives of the death that morning of Mrs. Herman Westover, the former Ruth Brodersen, daughter of Mary and the late Frank Brodersen, at a hospital in Long Beach, Calif. Mrs. Mary Brodersen has been with her daughter and family the past two and one half months.

Ruth Brodersen was born April 9, 1921 on the farm now owned by Mack Cameron, five miles southwest of Herman. She attended Hill Creek school and graduated from the Herman high school. She attended Wayne State Teachers college and Midland College in Fremont. She was a teacher in the Washington county schools for five years and at Tekamah in Burt county two years. She then went to California with Miss Lela Peck, now Mrs. Roy Suley, where she taught two years.

She was married January 1, 1950 to Herman Westover in Long Beach, Calif., where they made their home.

Mrs. Westover is survived by her husband; two sons, Steven and Stanley; her mother, Mrs. Mary Brodersen of Herman; one sister, Mrs. B. J. Shuhe of Fresno, Calif., and one brother, Cpl. Charles J. Brodersen of Miami, Fla.
