Clifford H. Staben, 91

Survived by wife of 69 years.

Clifford H. Staben, 91, of Blair, died Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011, at Crowell Home in Blair.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at Grace United Methodist Church in Kennard. Interment will be in the Kennard Cemetery.

Visitation will begin 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

Clifford H. Staben was born May 1, 1920, in Fort Calhoun to Hans and Anna (Johnsen) Staben.

He was married to Rose E. Christensen on Dec. 19, 1941.

He is survived by his wife, Rose, of 69 years; two sons and daughters-in-law, Clifford "Gene" and Jeannie of Missouri Valley, Iowa, and Marvin L. and Sharen Staben, Kingsburg, Colo.; five grandchildren, David and Barb Staben, Missouri Valley, Christin and Rory Pruess, Bennington, Sara and Dave Trierweiler and Mike and Sally Staben, all of Woodbine, Iowa, Julie Serafin of Phoenix, Ariz.; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
