Mrs. Lawrence Murray of Omaha, formerly Miss Oral Akins of Kennard, passed away at the Nicholas Senn hospital in Omaha on last Thursday. As a girl she lived with her parents on a farm south of town, and while there she attended Kennard High school from which she graduated in 1928. She then entered the Nicholas Senn hospital in Omaha where she completed a course of training for nurses, and for some time after completing this course was employed as a nurse there on their regular staff. Funeral services were held at the M. E. church in Kennard on Sunday afternoon, Rev. Thomas J. Reese of Blair officiating. Six graduate nurses of Omaha acted as pallbearers. The singers were Mr. and Mrs. Earl Jenkins of Blair and Lester and Twyla Kronberg accompanied by Mrs. R. P. Ogden. Mrs. Ogden also sang a solo accompanied by Mrs. Earl Jenkins. Interment was made in the Tekamah cemetery.
