HADLEY FUNERAL SERVICE IS HELD

Funeral services for William S. Hadley, well known pioneer resident of Arlington who died at his home Monday evening of last week following an illness of several months, were held Friday afternoon at the Congregational church in Arlington at 2:30 o’clock.

Rev. H. C. Van Valkenburgh had charge of the services, and was assisted by Rev. Ralph P. Rasmussen.

The rostrum of the church was banked with a large number of floral tributes.

Mrs. Carl Keller, with Mrs. Alice Newcom accompanying her on the organ, sang two favorite hymns, “The Little Brown Church in the Dell” and “Abide With Me”.

Those who acted as pallbearers were Chet Menking, C. C. Cook, Don C. Weber, Raymond Ludwig, G. L. Glover and Lawrence Hall.

Mr. Hadley was born at Albion, Ind., on March 22, 1861 and moved to Arlington with his parents, Dr. and Mrs. S. J. Hadley, when he was a young man of 17 years, and spent the rest of his life in Arlington.

He was married to Miss Phoneta Mohr on December 29, 1882, who with their two children, survive him. They are Mrs. V. Warren Boyles of Omaha and Frank W. Hadley of Oakland, Calif; one granddaughter, Mrs. J. T. Morris of Omaha and his brother, Dr. J. E. Hadley of Cedar Bluffs also survive him.

Sorensen, G. A. Sachs, H. M. Binder, H. H. Roberts, R. C. Hennecke, Alda Lively, F. N. Peterson, Julius Harmon, Russell Baker, Dorothy Anderson, Kenneth Finayson, Ada Parker, Pomeroy Parker, H B. Boyles, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Marks and Miss Inez Nelson all of Omaha, Messrs and Mesdames Charles Long, Frank Luke, A. N. Unthank, Miss Phyllis Luke and Mrs. Ella Long all of Fremont, Frank W. Hadley of Oakland, Calif. and Mr. and Mrs. V. Warren Boyles of Omaha.
