Virginia Larson
Died on 7/23/1936

30 July, 1936 - The Enterprise

A cloud of gloom was cast over Kennard on last Thursday morning when news came over the radio that Miss Virginia Larson, who had taught in our school for the past four years, together with her father, Joe B. Larson and twin sister, Lorraine, were killed in an automobile accident just west of Allen, Nebraska. The above mentioned, together with the wife and mother, were on their way to Minnesota on a vacation trip when the accident happened. Mr. Larson and Virginia were killed instantly, while Lorraine lived but a half hour. Mrs. Larson was also very seriously injured, and at first her recovery was doubtful, but late reports are that she is getting along as well as can be expected. The community here is sorry indeed to hear of this disaster as we had learned to love Virginia to the utmost owing to her cheerful disposition, her willingness to cooperate with everyone and her absolute reliability in her work. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church at Laurel, their former home, on Saturday afternoon. Interment was made in the Laurel cemetery. Those present at the services from this vicinity were Leonard Peterson, Jap Rosenbaum, Mr. and Mrs. G. E. Kronberg and Twyla, and Mrs. R. P. Ogden and Mrs. Louis Gould and Mrs. Grant Brewster of Blair and Miss Lois Whitney of Craig.
