FORMER CALHOUN MAN PASSES AWAY

Charles Frederic Schwager, organizer of the Alamito Dairy Co. and the American Livestock Insurance Co., both of Omaha, died at his home, 132nd and Dodge Sts., Omaha, Wednesday at the age of 62 years.

Born at Calhoun, Nebr., he went to Omaha 41 years ago and made his residence there since then. Previous to going to Omaha he had organized the Locust Lane Dairy at Calhoun, introducing pasteurized and certified milk there. The Alamito Dairy, which he headed, was sold by him in 1917. He served as president of the insurance company from 1918 to 1922 when he organized the Charles F. Schwager Corp., operating farms and milk plants.

For 16 years he was a member of the International Milk Dealers Association. He also was a member of the Omaha Chamber of Commerce, a charter member of the Omaha Athletic club and a member of the Rotary club 30 years.

Surviving are his widow, Katherine, a son, Charles and two daughters, Mrs. Walter B. Lehmkuhl and Mrs. Frank L. Sveska, all of Omaha; two brothers, Henry of Omaha and August of Los Angeles; two sisters: Mrs. Edwin Myers of Hemet, Cal, and Mrs. Charles McIllwain, Los Angeles, Calif. and four granddaughters.
