EDWARD VAN HORN IS CALLED

Edward Van Horn, son of J. D. and Mary Van Horn, was born in Washington county, Nebraska January 19th, 1891, and passed away at his home northwest of Blair April 24th, 1936, aged 45 years, 3 months and 5 days.

He resided in this county continuously all his life with the exception of two years in early life when he, with his parents, made their home in the state of Washington. Never in the best of health and unable to join in the activities of most people, yet he found many pleasures and much enjoyment in life, always willing and ready to be helpful to his loved ones, friends and neighbors.

The last two years, with his ailment rapidly growing worse, he suffered much, never complaining, but quietly and patiently performed such tasks as his strength permitted.

His mother. having preceded him in death, he leaves to mourn his loss his father, J. D. Van Horn of this place, one brother, James and a nephew and niece of Herman, also other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 Sunday afternoon from the Baptist church with Rev. T. J. Reese officiating, and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.
