HENRY WULFF PASSES APRIL 22

Another Territorial Pioneer Answers Call at 72 Years

George Henry Wulff, of Sioux City, Iowa passed away Wednesday, April 22 in a hospital in that city at the age of 72 years, 4 months and 20 days.

Deceased was born in this county on December 2, 1863 before Nebraska was admitted to statehood. Thus another of Nebraska’s pioneers has gone, leaving the ranks one less in number.

Henry Wulff, as the early citizens of this vicinity will remember him, was reared to manhood on a farm in this county. In later years, he and his brother, William, conducted an implement business in the building now occupied by the Hancock Implement Co. Later they sold their business and William moved to California, but Henry chose to stay in Blair.

On April 26, 1893 he was married to Elizabeth Banks and to them one son, Chester A., was born. Chester, some time back went to San Francisco, where hie has since made his home. He was unable to be present at the last rites of his father as he himself was an inmate of a hospital.

In his dealings with men, he was always honest and honorable, and his old time friends will miss him as will his wife and son, five brothers: William of Los Angeles, Calif.; Edwin and Frank of Colorado Springs; and Gus and Herman of Omaha; also two sisters: Mrs. Felix Ebner of Denver; and Mrs. Charles Gaydou of Blair.

The body was brought to Blair, and the funeral services were held from the Baptist church Sunday at 2 p.m. with Rev. T. J. Reese officiating, and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.
