CARL C. REEH

Carl C. Reeh, a native of Blair, was found dead in his pasture about a mile from his farm home on Wednesday afternoon, April 15, apparently he was a victim of a heart attack and died suddenly. Immediately, when he was discovered, a physician was called who gave as his expert opinion that he had been dead for some time.

Deceased passed his 62 birthday on February 17. During his lifetime he had amassed a comfortable fortune, and was on the eve of retiring from active life and had purchased a home in Blair, intending to move into town on Friday.

He was married to Miss Eda Wulf on February 28, 1899, and the widow, with one daughter, Mrs. Frederick Dornacker, are left to mourn his departure. He was a good husband and father and a good businessman, and was well liked by all who knew him.

He was a member of the German Lutheran church, having been baptized into that faith when a child, and it was Reverend Freze of that church who officiated at the last sad rites which were held in the Methodist church on last Saturday, April 18 at 2 p.m., and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.

Besides his wife and daughter he leaves to mourn him two brothers, William Reeh of near Blair and Gus Reeh of Elk City and two sisters, Mrs. Chris Richter of near Herman and Mrs. Peter Truhlsen of near Blair.
