JOHN MORDHORST PASSES AWAY

John Mordhorst of Bennington passed away last Thursday evening, March 26th, at his home in Bennington at the age of seventy eight years. Deceased was born in Germany and was married there. He, with his family, coming to this country in 1891.

For a number of years he farmed in this county, but his later years were spent in comfort in Bennington while his sons continued the farming operations. The wife died two years ago.

He leaves to mourn him five children, Fred and Peter of Bennington, Mrs. Anna Rathjen, Mrs. Chris Greggersen and Mrs. George Thunn, all of Fort Calhoun, also twenty five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services were held in Bennington on last Sunday at 2 o’clock, and interment was made in the German cemetery in this county.
