S. J. HARDMAN ANSWERS CALL

Solomon J. Hardman passed away last Thursday night, March 26, at his home in this city after an illness of about five years' duration. Deceased was born July 20, 1855 in Green county, Indiana, and in 1883 was married to Miss Cora Dorsey at David City, Neb.

After their marriage, they continued to make their home in David City until eight years ago when they moved to Blair. One daughter, Mrs. Charles McBride, with the wife, survive Mr. Hardman and grieve deeply his death.

Mr. Hardman was a man of more than ordinary ability, a kind and loving husband and father, and in his younger days, before his health failed him, he was a man among men, taking his place in the civic affairs of David City in a manner that was a credit to himself and family, and he has many old friends in David City who will grieve with the family over his departure.

The funeral services were held Sunday at 2:30 o’clock at the Campbell mortuary, and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.
