N. P. HANSEN CALLED

N. P. Hansen of Herman passed away at the home of his son,Thorvald Hansen, Wednesday, March 11, after an illness of 3 months. All during his suffering Mr. Hansen was very patient, never complaining.

Nels Peter Hansen was born in Korsor, Denmark January 14, 1852, and passed away March 11, 1936 at the age of 84 years, 1 month and 25 days.

He was united in marriage to Dorthea Kruse October 22, 1878, and to this union one son was born.

They came to Council Bluffs, Ia. in the year of 1882 where they resided for ten years. They then came to Nebraska and lived on a farm near Herman since.

The last 23 years he made his home with his son, Thorvald and family of near Herman.

He leaves to mourn his loss one son, Thorvald of Herman, one brother, Soren of Denmark, seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at two o’clock at the Baptist church at Herman, Rev. Immanuel Petersen of the Hill Creek Lutheran church, assisted by Rev. Gumm of the Baptist church officiated.

A quartette composed of Miss Dagmar Olson, Mrs. Ivan Helms, C. R. Gray and Fred Robertson sang. Interment was made in the Herman cemetery.
