H. G. WEST DIED TUESDAY

H. G. West died at his home in Herman Tuesday morning following a short illness of pneumonia.

Horace Greeley West was born at Huron, Indiana March 31, 1869, and passed away at Herman, Nebraska March 17, 1936, aged 66 years, 11 months and 16 days.

In 1882 the family moved from Huron, Indiana to Nebraska and located at Herman, which with the exception of one year at Harrington, has since been his home. He has been a resident of Herman 54 years. He has followed the profession of painter and paperhanger for many years, and has been active in this work until the past few years. He was married to Miss Martha Matilda Triplett July 4, 1891, and to this union two children were born.

Mr. West is survived by one son, Miles of Herman, Nebr. one daughter, Mrs. Syvilla Davis of Athelstone, Wisconsin, one brother, Killus West of Herman and two granddaughters and a number of the relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Herman Baptist church, interment in the Herman cemetery.
