Funeral services for Mrs. Hannah Kerr, wife of William Kerr of Elk City, were held at the Methodist church on Sunday afternoon at two o’clock. Mrs. Kerr was born at Haliburton, England on January 27, 1869, and in 1871 came to America. She was married to Mr. Kerr on May 5, 1889. She was a member of the church of England as a girl, and a faithful attendant of the Elk City church, walking two and one half miles every Sunday to attend services.

Eleven children were born to the couple, three preceding their mother in death. Those surviving are Harry of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Walter of St. James, Minnesota, Jack of Albion, Allen of Lincoln, Mrs. Jessie Mays of Sterling, Illinois, Mrs. Ida Shaw of Twisp, Washington, Mrs. Dorothy Batty and Mrs. Davis of Omaha; two brothers, Walter of Newborn, Ohio and Victor of Tozer, Canada. Fourteen grandchildren also survive.
