DEATH CALLS J. T. EYE

The community was shocked on Wednesday, January 29th when J. T. Eye, a resident of this city, was suddenly stricken with heart trouble which resulted in instantaneous death.

Mr. Eye was a man of more than ordinary ability and of a kindly disposition and a pleasing personality that made him a general favorite among those who knew him. He was a native of Denmark, coming to this country with his parents when but a boy.

He was a printer by trade, and for thirty five years before coming to Blair he was foreman of the Hansen Printing Co. at Cedar Rapids, Iowa where he lived the greater part of his life. He had been a resident of Blair for the past eleven years and had made many friends who will miss him greatly.

At his death he was past 82 years of age, and he leaves two sons, Louie Eye of Polo, Iowa and George of Cedar Rapids, Ia.

Funeral services were held last Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the home, and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.
