MOTHER OF LOCAL MINISTER DIES

Mrs. Matilda Frese, who celebrated her 95th birthday December 26, died Sunday at the home of her daughter, Miss Henrietta Frese of Omaha, after a short illness.

She came to Nebraska from Hanover, Germany with her husband, the late Rev. E. J. Frese, and lived for 10 years an Hooper where the Rev. Mr. Frese was pastor of the Lutheran church.

In 1879 they moved to Omaha where the Rev. Mr. Frese was pastor of the First Lutheran church for 37 years.

Surviving are two sons, the Rev. H. C. Jul Frese, pastor of the Lutheran church of this city, Paul W. of Omaha; a daughter, Mrs. William G. Broomer of Omaha; 13 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Cross Lutheran church of Omaha with Rev. Paul Rohlfing officiating. Burial was made in the West Lawn cemetery.
