Soren Jacobsen, who for the past thirteen years has lived on his farm near Kennard died last Friday morning of tuberculosis. For nearly two years he has been under the doctors care but not until six weeks ago was he taken seriously ill. His condition was such that his death was not wholly unexpected. Had he lived till next December he would have been fifty years old. He leaves a family of two children, a son, Peter, and a daughter Cenie, whose mother died some eight years ago. He was a member of the M. W. A. of Kennard and carried an insurance in the order of $2000. His property consists of the homestead of 160 acres which is practically clear. The funeral took place yesterday from the Danish Lutheran Church, of Dexterville, Rev. A. Rasmussen officiating. A large concourse of sorrowing friends attended to pay their last tribute to their departed friend and neighbor. With the many friends of the family, the Pilot desires to extend its sympathies in the time of their great bereavement. Mr. Jacobsen was a kind good father and a most accommodating neighbor.
