GEORGE FRANKE

George Franke, 62 years of age of the Fontanelle neighborhood, passed away December 1, 1935 after a lingering illness. Deceased was born in Quincy, Illinois, and came to Washington county with his parents in 1879.

The family settled in Fontanelle township, and there the deceased grew to manhood and married Miss Wilhelmina Kamph. Five children, all at home, grieve deeply with the mother over the death of the devoted husband and father. The children are Wilhelmina, George, Chester, Helen and Herbert.

Besides the immediate family, he leaves two sisters, Mrs. Gus Hartung of Fontanelle and Mrs. Martha Sick of Hooper and two brothers, Adam of Herman and Louie of Perkins county, all of whom mourn deeply their great loss.

Funeral services were held at the Salem Lutheran church, and interment in the church cemetery.
