Margaret Lois Belville Strickney was born August 23, 1894 in Herman, Nebr., and died at the age of 41 years, 2 months and 29 days at Sioux Falls, South Dakota in a hospital of acute bronchial pneumonia. Margaret spent the early part of her life in and around Herman, after spending several years caring for her invalid mother, she went to Sioux Falls, South Dakota where she met and married Mr. F. O. Strickney in April, 1929, spending the remainder of her life with him. Margaret was baptized in the First Christian church in the year 1925 at Modale, Iowa. She leaves to mourn her death her husband, F. O. Strickney of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, her father, S. J. Bellville of Herman, Nebr., four brothers Ed and Sam of Los Angeles, California, Homer of Alliance, Nebr., William of Wymore, Nebr., four sisters, Mrs. Oscar Davis of Herman, Nebr., Gertrude Landmark of Detroit, Michigan, Mrs. A. Z. Patnaude and Mrs. J. W. Wyatt of Omaha. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Baptist church in Herman in charge of Rev. T. J. Reese of Blair, assisted by Rev. Gunmm. The singers were Mr. C. E. Johnson, Miss Dagmar Olson, C.R. Gray and Roland Wachter, with Mrs. F. B. Shrader at the piano. Burial was made in the Herman cemetery.
