Services for Effie Pauline French, 83, who died April 1, 1986, in Grand Island Memorial Hospital, will be held Thursday, April 3, in the Herman Methodist Church. The Reverends Larry Orvis and Earl French, Jr., will officiate and burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Mrs. French was born March 12, 1903, the daughter of Wilfred and Etta Jones of Hartington.

She married Earl French.

Mrs. French was a member of the Herman American Legion Auxiliary and the Herman Baptist church guild.

Survivors include four sons, James Chet French of Sioux City, Iowa, Lyle French of Lyons, Earl French, Jr. of Brunswick, Maine, and Darryl French of Tulare, California; one sister, Gussie Jones of Glendale, Arizona; 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one sister and one brother.

Organist will be Gracie Husk and vocalist will be Kermit Goll.

Campbell Funeral Home of Blair is in charge of arrangements.
