Drew Michael Showers and his twin sister Heather were born on April 23, 1995 in Kansas City, Missouri. Ron and Sandie Showers were the proud parents. Drew and his family live in Bennington, Nebraska where he grew up, attended grade school and graduated Bennington High School in 2014. Drew went on to attend Midland College, after which he was accepted into the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (1BEW) Local 22 Apprentice Program.

As a young boy Drew passed his spare time at the YMCA swimming or playing Basketball. He spent many hours riding his bike. When in school Drew enjoyed running track and cross country, played Football and Basketball. Drew also played the trumpet in the school band. During these years he developed a passion for strength training.

Except for the time Drew moved closer to campus he spent his whole life living in the same house in Bennington. He was working as an electrical apprentice for ABC Electric Co. in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Over the last couple of years Drew found a way to combine his love of being with people and being able to listen to music. Drew started to learn how to Line dance. He could often be found practicing his steps at the Redneck or Bushwackers.

No matter his age, Drew never grew too old for playing with his X-Box. His taste buds however grew up and developed. a strong desire for steak. Didn't matter which steak house -- just a steak that wasn't over cooked.

Drew was ornery and could be so stubborn. He was loyal and giving, he would do just about anything for anybody. Drew was driven, when he decided to do something whether at work, home, or with friends, he would do everything in his power to accomplish his goal.

Drew passed away on April 4, 2019 at the age of 23 years, 11 months and 12 days. He is preceded in death by grandparents.
