J. Q. WALLINGFORD SERVICES FRIDAY

Funeral services for Jesse Q. Wallingford were held Friday afternoon in the Methodist church in Arlington with the pastor, Rev. Ralph P. Rasmussen and Rev. John D. Hammel of Valley in charge of the services.

Mr. Wallingford had been in poor health for several months and died Wednesday morning at a hospital in Omaha.

Mr. Wallingford was born in Ohio in 1870, and the same year moved to Nebraska with his parents. He lived east of Fremont until 1894 when he moved to Arlington.

In 1893 he was married to Laura Elsner at Fremont, who, with two daughters, Mrs. Allen MacTier of Omaha and Mrs. Otto Renard of Arlington, and one son, Lloyd of Omaha, survive him.

Two sisters, Mrs. John Kelser of Fremont and Mrs. P.M. Harrington of Fort Morgan, Colorado and four grandchildren, also survive.

The rostrum in the church was banked with numerous floral offerings, and during the services Gifford Dixon of Blair sang two solos, “O Love That Will Not Let Me Go” and “Going Home”; Mrs. Ted Nelson of Omaha also sang “One Sweetly Solemn Thought”.

The pallbearers were George Schoettger, Dr. L. M. Peterson, Frank Rice, Albert Mansfield, Fred Meierhenry and Frank Middaugh.

Among the relatives from out of town who attended the services were Mr. and Mrs. Ed Keatings of David City, Mrs. John Kelser of Fremont, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Johnson of Hastings, Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Rader of Omaha, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence King of Fremont and Mr. and Mrs. Allen MacTier, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Coash and Lloyd Wallingford of Omaha.
