FORMER BLAIR WOMAN DIES

Funeral services for Mrs. Nettie Erwin, who died last Monday in an Omaha hospital, were held Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock from the Fred Bader Chapel in Fremont, and interment was made in the Ridge cemetery.

Nettie Downing was born in La Crosse, Wisconsin October 1, 1858. When five years of age she came, with her family, to Blair, and here she grew to womanhood. In 1889 she married John Erwin of Omaha, and for several years they made their home there, later moving to South Sioux City, Iowa and in 1910 to Fremont. The husband passed away in 1932, and since his death she has made her home with her son, Clyde in Omaha.

She leaves to mourn her the son, Clyde of Omaha and a sister, Mrs. Sam Stewart of southwest of Blair.

Those attending the funeral from Blair were Frank Bross, Jake Bross, Mr. and Mrs. Hosea Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. Will Ryan, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schafer, Mrs. Druisilia McCann and Mrs. Ted Stewart, Mr. and Mrs. John Marshall of Kennard also attended. All relatives of the deceased.
