Hilgenkamp, Friederike Carolina (Giesselmann) 10/12/1935 17 Oct., 1935 - The Enterprise MRS. HILGENKAMP VICTIM OF ILLNESS Mrs. Friederike Carolina Hilgenkamp, 84, an old time resident of Washington county, died Saturday evening at her home north of Arlington following a brief illness. She had been ill from myocarditis for a short time. She was 13 days past 84 years of age. Mrs. Hilgenkamp, whose name before her marriage was Giesselmann, was born in Westphalia, Germany September 29, 1851. She came to America with her parents when one year of age, settling first in Quincy, Illinois, and later coming to Nebraska to reside on a farm north of Arlington. Surviving are four sons, Edward at home, William, John and Louis, and two daughters, Mrs. William Scheer, Jr. and Mrs. Gottlieb Ectenkamp, seventeen grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were held at 1:30 Wednesday afternoon at the home and at 2 o’clock at the St. Paul’s Lutheran church. ~~~obituary courtesy of the Nebraska Washington County Genealogical Society.
