| Like a thunder-bolt from a clear sky came the information Saturday, from Verdel, Nebr., that Mrs. L. V. Ackerman, one of the best loved girls who ever lived in this vicinity, had given up her life in the greatest of all human sacrifices, and such a one as woman only can make. The body was brought here for burial and the funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the Babtist church, and was conducted by Rev. John Poucher, a life-long friend.
