JOHN WM. BARGER

John William Barger, age 64 years and two months, passed away Friday, July 19th at the home of his sister, Mrs. Mary Moore of Blair. Deceased was born May 19, 1871 in Jackson county, Indiana, and with his parents moved to Harrison county, Iowa where he grew to manhood.

He came to Blair about 29 years ago and for a long term of years was a section foreman on the railroad. He leaves three brothers, Thomas, Albert and Charley and four sisters, Mrs. Mary Moore of Blair Mrs. Charles Wilkerson of Fort Calhoun, Mrs James Metzler of Tekamah and Mrs. Nancy McLean of Mondamin, Iowa.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. from the Campbell mortuary, and interment was made in the Blair cemetery. Rev. Souder of the Christian church officiated at the ceremonies.
