OLIVER THOMSEN FUNERAL RITES

Funeral services for Anders Oliver Thomsen, former resident of this county, who died from burns received in an explosion in a garage at Amherst, Colorado where he resided, were held at the Bendorf Funeral Home Saturday afternoon, and burial made in the Orum cemetery.

Mr. Thomsen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jens Peter Thomsen, was born February 13, 1909 at Ilvid Veijle, Denmark, and in the year of 1929 came to America with his parents, settling at Blair. In 1931, on his birth anniversary, he was married to Opal Lee Newkirk, and a few months later the couple moved to Amherst where they had since resided.

Besides his wife and parents and one brother, Virgil, he is survived by a number of other relatives.

The pallbearers were former schoolmates from the Arlington vicinity, William Bisbee, Milton Carlsberg, Rollin Carlsberg, Clyde Larson, Albert Larson and William Pope.

ANDERS THOMPSON, ONCE OF BLAIR, DIES FROM BURNS IN EXPLOSION

Funeral services for Anders Thomsen, 26, former Blairite who was fatally burned in an explosion at an Amherst, Colorado, garage, were held Saturday afternoon at the Orum church. He died last Wednesday in Amherst.

Anders Oliver Thomsen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jens Peter Thomsen, was born February 13, 1909, at Ilvid Veijle, Denmark, and in 1929, came to America with his parents, settling at Blair.

In 1931, on his birth anniversary, he was married to Opia Lee Newkirk, and a few months later the couple moved to Amherst, where they had since resided.

Mr. Thomsen is survived by his wife and parents, a brother, Viggo, and other relatives.
