#1-4 July, 1935 - The Enterprise

MRS. WM. GOLL BURIED HERE

Mrs. William Goll, formerly a resident of Fort Calhoun, but later of Omaha, passed away last Saturday morning in the Lutheran hospital in that city, and the body was brought to Blair Monday where interment was made by the side of her husband, who had passed on some years before.

The husband operated a drug store in Fort Calhoun for a long term of years before his death, but following his death, the family moved to Omaha. Three sons are left to mourn the departure of the mother.

Mrs. W.R. Goll, who came to Ft. Calhoun almost fifty years ago and resided here until 1930, died in an Omaha hospital June 29, at the age of 63 years. Her husband operated the drug store and post office here for many years, and their three sons, Harold, Walter and Willard, who grew to manhood in Ft. Calhoun. Mrs. Goll was an earnest Christian woman, helpful to those who needed help and her passing is sincerely regretted by all in the community. The funeral services were held in the Crosby mortuary Omaha, Monday and burial made in the Blair cemetery.

#3-July 11, 1935- Fort Calhoun Chronicle- Sadie Goll

Sadie M. Goll mention of whose passing was made in last week’s Chronicle, was born in Springfield, Ill., March 19, 1872. At the age of 7 years she moved with her parents to Keyapaha County, Nebraska, where she lived till the age of 18, when they moved to Pilger, Nebraska. At Pilger she met and married William R. Goll, December 30, 1891. The following year Mr. and Mrs. Goll moved to Ft. Calhoun where they made their home until Mr. Goll’s death in 1922.

Surviving are three sons, Harold, Walter and Willard, all of Omaha, five brothers, three sisters, four grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends.

She became a member of the S.D. Adventist church of Ft. Calhoun 40 years ago and remained a devoted member of that denomination until the end.

Elder T.M. Langberg officiated at the services held July 1.
