GOTTLIEB STORK DIES IN FREMONT

Gottlieb Stork, well known farmer of the Orum neighborhood, died in a Fremont hospital last Saturday afternoon following an illness of several week’ duration. Deceased was a son of Mr. and Mrs. William Stork, early settlers of the county, and was born August 18, 1883. On September 14, 1906 he was married to Miss Emma Wulf, and to them five children were born, one daughter passing away some years ago.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Wilfred, Gilbert and Milo and one daughter, Mrs. Albert Dickmeyer and two sisters and four brothers.

The funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon at one o’clock from the home, and at two o’clock at the St. Paul Lutheran church with Rev. G. W. Wolter in charge.

Gottlieb Casper Henry Stork was born near Orum August 18, 1883, and was baptized September 23 of the same year. After attending St. Paul's Christian day-school he was confirmed in his Christian faith April 11, 1897. On February 14, 1906 he was united in marriage with Miss Emma Wulf. Three sons and two daughters were born in this union. The oldest daughter Myrtle, preceded the father in death in October 1931.

Two weeks ago last Sunday, June 16, Mr. Stork, stricken with pneumonia, entered the Good Samaritan Hospital, in Fremont, where after severe suffering he died last Saturday afternoon in the confession of his faith in Jesus, his Saviour. His age was 51 years, 10 months, and 11 days. He leaves to mourn, his sorely bereaved wife, 3 sons, Wilfred 17, Gilbert 15, and Junior Milo 10; one daughter, Mrs. Albert Dickmeyer; one grandchild, Leonard Diokmeyer; 5 brothers and 2 sisters; father-in-law and mother in-law, and many other distant relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1 o'clock at the home and at 2 o'clock at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Rev. G. W. Wolter officiating. The choir sang “What a Friend In Jesus" at the home, and "Rock Of Ages" at the church. More than 500 people were in attendance.
