MRS. MINNIE MOORE

It doesn’t happen to many of us to spend our entire life in the same town, but such was the case with Mrs. Minnie Moore, who was called to her rest on last Friday, May 24th. Mrs. Moore was born in Blair August 30, 1870, and had spent her entire life in the town of her nativity.

She was married to A. Moore about 46 years ago, and two children came to bless this union, Miss Mary who was her mother’s constant companion, and Mrs. Lloyd Chambers. One grandson, Billy Chambers, is also left.

Mrs. Moore was a member of the Baptist church, and she lived a consistent Christian life, faithful to her belief. She was also a member of the Woodman Circle where she was held in the highest esteem as was evidenced by the fact that Mr. and Mrs. Tom Jensen, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Sanders, Mr. and Mrs. William Montgomery, Mrs. Ann Callanlan and Mrs. Abbie Holden, all officials of the Woodman Circle of Omaha, made personal calls on last Sunday to express their sorrow over her death.

Mrs. Moore was taken to Court View hospital on May 8th, suffering from a congestion of the lung from which she gradually grew worse until the end came on May 24th.

Funeral services were held from the home on Monday afternoon, with her pastor, Rev. T. J. Reese officiating, and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.
