Harvey G. French, 79 years of age who came west from Connecticut to seek his fortune with the growing country, died of paralysis at his home near Kennard. He had enlisted in the Civil War at the age of 52. Note: The obituary said he was 79 years old and served in the Civil War. Since the Civil War was from 1861 to 1865, that cannot be correct that he served at 52 as he was not born yet. I assume it meant World War II. Hand written on obit said he was 80 years old on 2 Feb 1888
