Services For Lena Aye Held Monday

Mrs. Lena Aye, widow of the late Adolph (Ed) Aye, who for many years operated the Aye Bros. Seed Company in Blair, died at the home of her son Adolph and wife at Renton, Washington on October 26th.

Lena M. Dixon was born to Mr. and Mrs. Earl L. Dixon in Blair on January 3, 1887 and was married to Ed Aye in 1910.

Mr. Aye died in 1926 and Mrs. Aye left Blair in 1929 to live with her sister Mrs. Della Steed in Kansas City, Kansas until a year ago.

Funeral services were held Monday at the St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Blair. The Rev. Wm. Shattuck officiated and burial was in the Blair Cemetery with the Campbell Mortuary in charge.

Survivors are Hans Aye of Neosha, Missouri, Adolph of Rentin, Washington and Mrs. T. W. Wendell (Lena) of Chicago. Also seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Besides her husband, a daughter, Mrs. George Luken (Caroline) and a son John preceded her in death.
